Assessment of Biological Properties of Potting Medium under Different Minisett Corm Sizes and Integrated Nutrient Management Practices in Elephant Foot Yam [Amorphophallus paeoniifolius (Dennst.) Nicolson]

Pot culture experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of different minisett corm sizes and integrated nutrient management practices on biological properties potting medium in elephant foot yam at Instructional Farm, College Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala during April 2018-November 2018. The treatments consisted three (s1-200 g, s2-300 g s3-400 g) five (i1-100 % NPK, i2-75 NPK with 50 N substitution through coir pith compost, i3-75 compost + PGPR mix-I AMF, i4-50 i5-50 AMF) a control (1 kg). Higher microbial population observed application 75 AMF both 5 MAP harvest. Dehydrogenase activity also higher same treatment Lower lower dehydrogenase were 100 per cent as chemical fertilizers, compared INM practices.
